How Knoq receives copyright infringement notices, counter-notices, and repeat-infringer reports.
Effective date: 2026-10-06
Knoq respects intellectual property and responds to notices of alleged infringement under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. §512).
Send a written notice to our Designated Copyright Agent — Copyright Agent, Knoq, [BUSINESS ADDRESS], hello@knoq.co — including: (a) your physical or electronic signature; (b) identification of the copyrighted work you claim is infringed; (c) identification of the material you claim is infringing and information reasonably sufficient to locate it (e.g., the URL, profile, or message); (d) your name, address, phone, and email; (e) a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law; and (f) a statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf. Upon a compliant notice, we will expeditiously remove or disable access to the material and notify the user who posted it.
If your content was removed and you believe that was a mistake or misidentification, you may send our Designated Agent a counter-notice including: (a) your signature; (b) identification of the removed material and the location where it appeared before removal; (c) a statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification; and (d) your name, address, and phone, a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the U.S. federal district court for your address (or, if outside the U.S., any district in which Knoq may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who filed the notice. We may restore the material in 10–14 business days unless our Designated Agent first receives notice that the complaining party has filed a court action seeking to restrain the activity.
Knoq will, in appropriate circumstances, terminate the accounts of users who are repeat infringers.
